We are now about 3.25 lakhs community worldwide. Most of us are in higher middle class category. Ekda/Tads have dominated the segregation in our community for last 50 years and it is time that we all get rid of ekda and come together as Khadayata. For this I would propose that we keep a goal this year to promote "Khadayata One" - thinking as one khadayata no matter which ekda, tad you belong to. I have proposed few projects in my meeting with few people whom I regularly interact with. Some things I would like to see are :

Project 1 : Unique ID and Picture ID card to our entire community. Min cost would be around Rs. 100/card. This ID will be integrated with most websites so people from other communities do not avail facilities of our samsthas. Sub Tasks : - What data to be collected? - Designing forms for data collection - Printing of forms - Setting up Form Distribution and collection centers - Data Input in Excel in various locations - Data Validation and Verification - Printing ID Cards and Dispatching them - Synchornizing online sites to access this data - Having a process defined to update this data/have new additions - This would result in Global Directory of our community

Project 2 : Designing new "Khadayata One" logo . Printing Stickers/T-Shirts for sale at various samstha sites.

This will help us push common identity worldwide and when we see "Khadayata" sticker on Car or someone with Khadayata T-Shirt, we will automatically have special affinity for our community member.

Project 3: Coming up with Khadayata Magazine/e-zine in English. This should be targeted towards children and youth. Annual subscription prices have yet to be determined.

Project 4: Bringing new life to Keravni Mandals How can we convert these from being mere prize distribution, book distribution, scholarship giving mandals to be more of career/business guidance and investment forums?

Project 5: Converting Kotyark as Picnic/Conference spot We have so much space here at temple - plus cottages and rooms. For most part of the year, they remain unused. We can find a way to monitize this. I propose that 3 conference rooms with projector and sitting capacity of 120 in each be constructed, a park be made and indoor games be set in other area to encourage people to visit our temple more often. We can have certain blackout dates when other people cannot book this place. Community members should have first priority. This could be a great money spinner for funding other activities. I also propose that a Theme Park be built in one area to make this an attraction for kids. We can use funds collected here to improve the stairs at our old original kotyark temple that we have on banks of Sabarmati river. Does anyone else have other ideas?
